+++Transcribed by MiCasa 98+++ LENO: Now let me ask you, what is the attraction with the wrestling? Why not like tennis? RODMAN: It's a bunch of girls running around hitting this yellow ball LENO: But why wrestle? Why risk the NBA Championship to go wrestle? What's the attraction RODMAN: I just like the men in tights. LENO: You like the men in tights [laughter]. Now you know we have your wrestling partner here. This is not the surprise by the way. But your partner is who? RODMAN: Hollywood. LENO: Hulk? Where's Hulk? Hulk, come on out here. This is your partner [cheers and applause]. You guys are the -- HOGAN: We don't have to shake Jay's hand. We are the bad guys you know. LENO: Oh yes that's right, you're the bad guys. Well how are you? [Hogan shakes Leno's hand] HOGAN: Good to see you. LENO: Now what is your wrestling name by the way Dennis? HOGAN: Rodzilla man! LENO: Rodzilla. RODMAN: Good name, isn't it? [cheers and applause] LENO: Well, I hope you do better than the movie. Now Hulk, how is he as a wrestler? Did you have to teach him? Did he have to learn the ways? HOGAN: Brother, he's a natural. He's a natural. I watched him the playoffs man. I watched the big man for the Jazz getting in his face, getting in his space, and I watched Rodzilla take him down. When he came to Nitro with the nWo ... the crowd ... 20,000 people were yelling for Rodzilla at the end of the show. LENO: Really? HOGAN: So when we came out, this goof named Diamond Dallas Page was in our way, so Rodzilla did a little handy work with the steel chair. He was so good with the chair ... I said you should take the chair brother ... to the next game, and stuff it down your pants and take of the big man on the court. But all the Nitro girls said, Hollywood ain't no room in his pants for no chair [cheers]. LENO: We have tape of these master athletes applying their craft [laughter]. HOGAN: Technique. LENO: The technique. You saw of course ... you saw the NBA. You saw the rebounding. This is nothing compared to the skill you're gonna to see. OK ... Here take a look [footage from Nitro]. HOGAN: There's a whole lot of yelping going on. LENO: I don't know --- I don't know a lot about wrestling, but it seems like that would be illegal, hitting a guy with a folding chair [laughter]. HOGAN: Well, it's the '90s [laughter]. When you have people that make the sport look bad like Diamond Dallas Page, a yellow bellied coward, when he's in your way -- LENO: Now wait a minute ... what are you saying? A yellow bellied coward, who are you talking about? HOGAN: I'm talking about Diamond Dallas Page. LENO: The wrestler. HOGAN: Right, and after we get done teaching him the art of sitting in his chair, we basically challenged him ... because he ran his mouth the next day, and we said ... Diamond Dallas Page, here's the deal ... me and Rodzilla are gonna tear him up at Bash at the Beach, July 12th in San Diego. LENO: Well let me ask you something ... now Karl Malone of course --- HOGAN: Oh Please ... RODMAN: Come on man. Come on man. LENO: From the Jazz ... is he actually in on this? Are you going to be wrestling him? Because you guys mixed it up there on the court. RODMAN: I don't know what Karl is thinking about trying to come in the ring with Hollywood. LENO: I can't believe ... Karl Malone -- he seems like a very calm, gentlemanly guy. HOGAN: How the hell is he going to try and beat me in the ring when he can't beat me on the court [cheers and Hogan is cracking up]. RODMAN: It's a no-brainer, right. LENO: It would have to be a no-brainer. Sure. HOGAN: Testify. LENO: Is Malone a wimp? Is that what you're saying? HOGAN: It's not going to happen. LENO: Is Malone a wimp? Did you just call Malone a wimp? HOGAN: I did. LENO: You called -- Dennis ... I didn't hear Dennis. HOGAN: I did. RODMAN: Believe me, I call Karl a lot more than a wimp on the court brother. LENO: Really? RODMAN: A lot more than that. [DDP and Malone come out with folded chairs ... they throw the chairs on the floor] [cheers] [The faces give the DC sign]. LENO: Hang on you guys [it sounds like the crowd is really into it]. Hey quiet down [to the audience]. Hang on Dallas, or I'm gonna have to start kicking ass! DDP: Oh you think this is funny? RODMAN: We can do this right now ... we can go right here ... we can do this right now [Malone grabs after Rodman]. LENO: Ladies and gentlemen, this is an unexpected outbreak. Hang on guys take it easy. [Rodman removes his hat and watch and the crowd pops]. I had no idea these guys were even in the building. Hang on let me ask them a question. What is Dennis' weakness? What are you gonna go for? MALONE: You heard of the Diamond Cutter? LENO: The Diamond Cutter? Sure. MALONE: Want me to show you? [Crowd member yells "DDP!"] [Malone locks Leno in his version of the DC] LENO: AGH! AGH! AGH! [laughter] Now I see how it works. That was pretty good. I see what you mean. Now I feel like I'm back in County Jail again. HOGAN: If he tries to put the Diamond Cutter on Rodzilla, it's going to turn into this brother ... [Rodman puts the DC sign over his crotch] LENO: We better go ... MALONE: [to Rodman] You want some of me ... [Rodman slaps Malone on top of his head, and all four men almost went at it]. When they came back from a commercial break, Rodman was still there, and Hogan was gone.

+++Transcribed by MiCasa 98+++ LENO: Now let me ask you ... the wrestling thing ... are you going to wrestle Dennis? What's this all about? MALONE: Ah, I grew up as a little boy in Louisiana, and I always wanted to wrestle or fly jets ... and I couldn't fly jets -- I could take rides in them. LENO: Right. Right. Right. MALONE: So wrestling came up. They beat my buddy up, and you know you cover your buddy's back. LENO: Well it got tense here last night. Dennis was here. Dennis didn't know you were here. Show that footage from last night ... here you go [footage shown] [cheers and applause]. MALONE: Thanks for breaking it up. You ran over there ... come one. LENO: I ain't getting in the middle of you guys. Now Dennis' wrestling name ... I think he goes under Rodzilla [laughter] ... Hulk Hogan ... what is your wrestling name? MALONE: Karl [laughter]. LENO: Karl ... just Karl? Just Karl the Wrestler? [cheers] MALONE: I wish I could sit here and tell you that I got this name other than just Karl. LENO: I was thinking about this and I came up with some today. I like Jazzmanian Devil. How's that? Is that good? [laughter] Well that's not bad. MALONE: Alright ... go ahead ... give me another one. LENO: The Full Maloney. How's that? [laughter] MALONE: Nah! [thumbs down] LENO: How about Karl with a C? [applause] MALONE: No. How about Karl with a K? LENO: Just Karl the Wrestler. It just sounds funny. MALONE: You know what. You'll be one of those guys that will be watching it. LENO: I will be watching it. I'm a fan. I'm a fan. Now let me ask you ... you got a partner? What's the story? Who's that guy? MALONE: He's DDP. LENO: DDP. MALONE: And he's got my back ... and he follows me everywhere I go and he follows me, and if somebody gives me --- you know ... LENO: But what's his name? His name is Dallas ... MALONE: DDP LENO: DDP MALONE: You can't say Dallas Diamond Page [that's what he said], because you're not boys with him. LENO: Oh I see. MALONE: So you got to say his --- LENO: So what is his job? MALONE: His job is to protect me at all times. LENO: Protect you. So if somebody messes with you ... MALONE: Right. So if you like -- LENO: Come on Malone [shoves Malone] ... You ain't nothing [DDP shows up] [cheers and applause]. DDP: Chin Boy. Chin Boy. Sit down ... do what you do best ... Talk! Sit down. Don't make me slap the Diamond Cutter on you and make you feel the Bang! LENO: Hey, if I didn't have this suit on ... DDP: Dn't make me do that to you OK? Now be a good little host now. LENO: [to Malone] You were just lucky he was here pal [laughter]. I don't have to have somebody covering my ass. MALONE: But see ... you know what I want to do? I just want to watch him beat you up. I would just sit back and watch him. You think Kevin will come over and help you? LENO: No [laughter]. I don't think Kevin would help me at all. KEVIN: I do what I can man. LENO: What do you got? MALONE: Jay always have challenges for people. When we win WCW: The Bash, in San Diego on the 12th, we challenge you and Kevin [cheers and applause]. KEVIN: Let's do it. MALONE: We challenge you guys. LENO: No problem. Now what do you got? The Diamond --- MALONE: The Diamond Cutter. LENO: He doesn't know about our groin crusher, does he? KEVIN: Don't tell him man. LENO: The Groin Crusher ... they run from that. Now let me ask you ... how about your family? What do they think? Do they think " Karl what are you doing, you are an NBA Champ? What is this wrestling thing?" MALONE: The thing about it is that there a lot of people out there that are afraid to make changes. Because they don't know what people will think or their perception is. When I play, I play to win ... and there's going to be some knocking and banging ... and when I wrestle, it's the same thing. But you got to be the kind of person to go out and do the things you want to do. Not because someone don't want you to do it. My family, they're fine. My little 6 year old girl ... was watching it one night on PPV, and it went off ... she got mad. My little boy had his sister in a headlock, so I got to watch that kind of stuff in my house.
